In 2010 Bill had to have the tendon in his (painting) shoulder re-attached, which meant he was unable to paint for nine months. So he organized a successful one-man exhibition during April 2011 in the Ox-Market Centre of Arts in Chichester, West Sussex. This included original oils and water colours, together with preparatory charcoal drawings for larger oils and fine art prints, totaling over seventy pictures!

In 2012 to 2014 he completed several major marine commissions but also went to Africa (Botswana & Zambia) to gather material for some African wildlife paintings (see the 'Wildlife section of the 'Gallery') Partly due to the recession in America in 2014 Quester Gallery closed.

Bill was fortunate to get his paintings on show there back to the UK. In 2014 he also met Kevin Thomas of Thomas Fine Art who agreed to help market his work and then was very honoured to be introduced, together with his wife Helen, to HRH. Princess Anne at the Fishmonger's Hall in the City of London. For the last few years he has donated images of his work to the Shipwrecked Mariners and Fishermans Royal Benevolent Society of which HRH is the Patron.

He is currently working on a 36" x 60" oil of the 19 Metre yachts racing c.1913, a 26" x 42" oil of Hippos in the Luangwa River as an evening thunderstorm builds up and a 20" x 30" oil of the winning Alfa leading the 1930 Grand Prix in the snow in Sweden! Together with one or two other ideas!
